Girasole Energies: French & independent photovoltaic electricity producer
To produce local, low-carbon, competitive electricity, we develop, finance, build and operate photovoltaic power plants all over France and on all types of surface: roof, parking lot, ground.
We remain our customers’ single point of contact, from project feasibility studies through to plant operation and maintenance.
Our vision
Double land use with Girasole Energies
Because photovoltaic technology makes it possible to add a secondary use – in this case electricity generation – to the main use of a site, our approach is based on the dual use of land.
We work with professionals from all sectors (farmers, local authorities, service companies, manufacturers, developers) who make land available for photovoltaic production units.
In addition to contributing to the energy transition, our customers benefit from a wide range of rewards: additional income, construction of a new building, renovation of a large roof, compliance, energy savings via a self-consumption contract…

We’re witnessing the end of a world.
Our energy system, which has been centralized and heavily carbonized for two centuries, is showing its limits in the face of global warming.
In response, renewable energies are booming again, gradually promoting the decarbonization and decentralization of power generation.
This is why the Pluriannual Energy Program sets the bar high, with a target of 40 GW installed in France by 2028, compared with just over 15 today.
To deploy all the power plants needed, the French solar industry needs to step up a gear. As a photovoltaic electricity producer, Girasole is actively involved in this collective effort.

Mirova acquires a stake in Girasole Energies
After 3 years of activity and growth, the Enerlis group division dedicated to photovoltaic electricity production becomes Girasole Energies, a French & independent company.
At the beginning of 2023, Mirova, an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers and 100% dedicated to sustainable investment, enters the capital to support and accelerate Girasole’s development.
Thanks to its conviction-based management approach, Mirova’s objective is to combine the search for value creation
over the long term with sustainable development. Pioneers in many areas of sustainable finance, notably energy transition infrastructures, Mirova’s teams aim to continue innovating in order to offer their customers solutions with a strong environmental and social impact.
Together, Girasole Energies and Mirova have set themselves the target of exceeding 500 MWp of installed capacity by 2028 through a joint investment of around 600 million euros.
Their teams are ready to meet this challenge in the public interest.
